Mildred J. (Winland) Hood, 83, of Robin Wood Lane, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Dec. 30, 1928 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late John and Opal (Miller) Winland.

She was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Hood, and a brother Wilbur Winland.

Surviving are a son Robert, Jr., of Columbus, OH, two daughters; Carol Meek of Bridgeport, OH and Judy (Ken) Souillard of St. Clairsville, OH, a brother Donald (Kate) Winland of Colerain, OH, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain, OH with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
